The Warsaw Police Department is seeking more information on the whereabouts of 18-yeaer old Russell Keigan Harty, who is identified as the person who fired shots early this morning on Warsaw’s north side.
Detective Sergeant Brad Kellar says four to five shots were fired at 12:46 Tuesday morning in back of the Harrison Ridge subdivision along Husky Trail, located across from the Canterbury House Apartments.
An investigation has been able to determine that three adults and one juvenile male traveled from the Fort Wayne area to deliver marijuana to Harty. Harty allegedly produced a firearm during the transaction forcing all subjects to empty their pockets, and then fired the shots shortly after. The juvenile male was struck by one of the shots and was taken to a nearby hospital in Warsaw, later taken to Fort Wayne, last listed in stable condition. Another adult male was also struck by a bullet, but was treated and released at the scene.
Investigators are actively searching for Russell Harty who already was wanted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office for an active Probation Violation warrant. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Warsaw Police Department at (574)372-9511 or call 911.
At this time, Russell Harty is considered Armed and Dangerous.
