The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation has announced their graduation date for the class of 2020 to be on Sunday, July 19th.
The baccalaureate ceremony will begin at 2 PM, with the graduation ceremony starting at 2:45 PM. A location was not announced at this time. Officials said in a press release that “restrictions may be necessary limiting the number of guests in attendance, the location of the event, seating procedures, and other general procedures.” The school will be consulting with area health departments during the time leading up to the graduation to determine where the ceremony will happen.
An additional celebration for seniors will take place on Friday, May 22nd as a senior parade is scheduled to go through both Mentone and Akron. Seniors will wear their caps and gowns and ride in their cars through both towns. Specific details about the event will be released later.
The TVHS Prom, or similar event, is yet to be determined.
