Tippecanoe Valley High School recently was presented a check for $1,000 from Martin’s Super Markets as a recipient of a “One School at a Time” grant. The grant will be used to cover costs associated with bringing youth suicide prevention speaker Jeff Yalden to Tippecanoe Valley for two days of presentations and training involving students, staff, parents and the community. Presented in cooperation with NewsCenter 16 (WNDU-TV), a story on why the grant was awarded to Tippecanoe Valley will be aired Feb. 6 during NewsCenter 16’s morning show and the evening news. The check is being presented to (L to R): Micah Bradley, TVHS senior; Sarah Jones, TVHS senior; Susanne Siebrase, Tippecanoe Valley Middle School counselor; Stephanie Anglin, TVHS counselor; Mike Bendicsen, TVHS principal; and Brett Boggs, Tippecanoe Valley superintendent. These individuals are also members of the Tippecanoe Valley Community Mental Health Task Force.
