WARSAW — Below are some local events scheduled for Veterans Day.
American Legion Post 253, North Webster, will hold its Tour of Honor, where they will tour six area cemeteries and then go back to Post 253 from 8 to 11 a.m.
At 11 a.m., the Post 253 bar is open to the public. At noon, veterans eat free. Supporters eat for a free-will donation.
Gift drawings for veterans go from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
At 3 p.m. there will be a Quilts of Valor presentation.
In Warsaw, the annual Veterans Day ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, 421 N. Maple St., Warsaw.
The Warsaw Community High School Band will perform and Pastor Glen Hall, Harvest Community Church, will be the keynote speaker.
At 11 a.m., “Bells of Peace” will be observed by ringing the bell in the cemetery and at the Kosciusko County courthouse.
American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126 invite everyone to attend.
A Veterans Day breakfast buffet will be at the Warsaw Elks Lodge #802, 310 E. Center St., Warsaw, from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday. It is a free breakfast for veterans and active service members.
