Award-winning actress Karen Abercrombie will be the keynote speaker for the local Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration today.
The 51-year old Abercrombie is best-known for her role as 80-year old “Miss Clara” in the Christian film “The War Room.”
Today’s event will start at 11:30 at New Life Christian Church, and there will be a limited number of seats open to the public to attend in person.
The Committee to Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King is also planning to stream the event on their Facebook page and at www.CCMLKWARSAW.com.
