The Warsaw Education Foundation recently awarded nearly $5,000 in Red Apple Grant funds to four Warsaw Community Schools’ teachers.
Their students will be engaged in activities composing music, creating art, improving reading skills and even designing prosthetics.
Red Apple Grants are awarded to teachers for classroom materials as well as school-wide projects that advance enrichment opportunities, support innovative and inventive teaching, and promote academic exploration.
Red Apple Grants awarded in January are:
Lindsey Brander, Gateway Education Center, Learning to Manage Emotions through Art Therapy – $1,185.56
Rebecca Crim, Leesburg & Lincoln Elementary, Bach Meets Blocks: Composing Music with Legos© – $544.80
Karen Sproul, Leesburg Elementary, Duckling Books Will Help Grow Kindergartners into Readers! – $1,500.00
Justin Weaver, Lakeview Middle School, Prosthetic Kids Hand Challenge – $1,500.00
