Warsaw library board announces hiring of new director

WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library has named a replacement for the retiring director, Ann Zydek.

The hiring of Heather Barron was announced during Monday’s board meeting. 

Barron currently works as the northwest regional coordinator for the Indiana State Library and has previous work experience at Bourbon, Plymouth and North Webster libraries.

Barron’s start date is Oct. 2.

Zydek is retiring after 42 years of work with the library.

An open house for Zydek is scheduled for Sept. 12 from 4-6 p.m.
