A Warsaw man is facing charges after allegedly battering a woman.
Trey Andrew Hall, 26, of 859 Walkers Ridge, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:03 p.m. April 1 and charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a Level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Friday in Kosciusko Superior Court I, on April 1 Warsaw police responded to a domestic battery taking place and spoke with a woman who said she was trying to leave because she had been arguing with Hall.
Police reported observing an inch-long cut and bruising to the woman’s face.
When police spoke with Hall, he admitted he and the woman were arguing but denied it ever turned physical.
According to court papers, police spoke with several witnesses, with at least one saying they saw Hall hitting the woman on the upper portion of her body and another saying Hall pushed the woman into the backseat of a vehicle and “was wailing on her.”
When police asked Hall about his bloodied hands, he allegedly said it was from hitting the vehicle, not the woman.
His bond was set at $5,250.
