A Warsaw husband and father was charged Thursday with hitting his wife in front of their son.
Adam Kitchens, 27, of 103. W. 12th St., Winona Lake, was arrested and charged for domestic battery in the presence of a child. He was booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $6,000 bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Kitchens allegedly came home drunk on Sept. 2. He then pushed his wife around and threw her cellphone at her face, injuring her. Kitchens then proceeded to throw the victim’s clothes out the window of their apartment.
The victim immediately called her sister, who came over to the home as Kitchens left. She then called Winona Lake police.
