A Warsaw man is facing battery charges after police allege he spanked a child too hard and bit her ear.
21-year-old Zeke Kaden Brown of Warsaw is facing two counts of domestic battery to a person less than 14 years old, and one count of domestic battery causing moderate bodily injury.
Charges were filed Monday. Brown was arrested Thursday and is out on bond.
Police were called to the Center Street house on Oct. 8. The mother of the girl reported one of her children had bruises on her bottom and her ear, according to court documents.
The woman told police Brown, her boyfriend who was babysitting the kids, admitted to spanking the child because she soiled her pants and to biting her ear. The mother said Brown bit her ear to get her to stop crying.
Police say Brown admitted he became flustered with the child and spanked her a little too hard. Brown also admitted he nibbled on the girl’s ear too hard causing the bruising.
