JoElla Hauselman, Warsaw Community Schools Summer Program coordinator, would like to let parents know, for planning purposes, that WCS will modify summer school offerings beginning in 2022.
The major change is that there will no longer be a July session, according to a news release from WCS. All summer school courses will be held in June. This decision was made to allow students and staff a chance to take the month of July off and to allow for deep cleaning to prepare for the first student day on Aug. 16, 2022.
Warsaw Community High School Summer Sessions 2022 will run for 15 days from June 1 to 21 at Edgewood Middle School with both a morning and an afternoon option; students can choose one or both sessions.
The morning class will start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be available.
The afternoon session will start at noon and end at 4 p.m. Each class will be in session for 60 hours to earn credit. Credit recovery will be available for both sessions.
Preschool through grade five summer school will start June 6 and run through June 24, 2022. This session will be held at Lincoln Elementary School.
There will only be one session from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost for preschool through fifth-grade summer school students.
Future information will be shared through school announcements, school counselors and on the district website at www.warsawschools.org.
