A Warsaw woman was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident after a one-vehicle accident Tuesday.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, when KCSO officers responded to the scene of an accident at East CR 450N, 1,000 feet east of North CR 1000E, Warsaw, they noticed a vehicle had gone off the road. The vehicle had hit a utility pole, and utility lines were on the vehicle.
Officers were able to identify the owner of the vehicle as the driver, who was Naomi C. McNight, 21, East Market Street, Warsaw.
She was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:36 a.m. Tuesday for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug on a $5,250 preliminary bond.
NIPSCO and Kosciusko REMC were notified about the damage to the utility pole.
Estimated damage was $25,000 to $50,000.
