Warsaw Woman Arrested For Beating Man With Bat



Shelli Holley, Warsaw, admitted to police she struck a man with a baseball bat multiple times after he came to her house looking for his wife in June.
Holley, 37, of 3699 N. CR 175E, Warsaw, was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon Monday night. 
According to the probable cause affidavit provided by Kosciusko County officials, the victim and his wife were in the process of getting divorced. The wife was at Holley’s home when he arrived looking for her June 18. 
Allegedly, Holley grabbed a metal baseball bat and told him to leave. When he didn’t, she struck him, knocking out one of his teeth. 
Police later spoke with the victim’s mother, who said the wife contacted her about the victim getting hit and that he was not remembering things and was not making any sense. He then lost consciousness. 
Holley admitted to police that the victim entered her residence without permission and began arguing with his wife. She hit the victim with the bat multiple times when he refused to leave. When he did leave, she followed him and continued to hit him with the bat. 
Holley was booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $1,250 bond.
