Warsaw Community High School Student Council will hold its annual homecoming parade at 5 p.m. Friday.
The parade will consist of the WCHS official homecoming court and floats featuring the diverse range of clubs and sports at WCHS. Grand marshal for this year is Dana McAfee, a retired theater teacher and Performing Arts Center director at WCHS. The 2021 homecoming float theme is “Reality TV Shows.” Spectators are encouraged to dress as their favorite reality television show cast member.
The parade will start at the WCHS horseshoe parking lot, where it will then proceed to Union Street. It will then turn right onto Market Street and later turn left onto Indiana Street. The route will then turn left onto Main Street and continue left onto Columbia Street. The parade will end at the corner of Columbia and Market streets. Candy will be thrown along the route.
This year’s homecoming football game against Northridge High School will begin at 7 p.m. at the WCHS Fisher Field. The homecoming court will be announced at halftime. Tickets can be purchased in the WCHS Athletic Office daily until 3 p.m. or at the gate.
