As Warsaw Community Schools approaches the close of the 2019-2020 school year, Dr. David Hoffert would like to thank parents for their continued support and encourage students across the WCS district to finish strong. While these past few months have challenged us all, there is still great cause for celebration of effort, growth, and achievement. Positive attitudes, dedication to learning, and commitment to the mission have carried us through the year. It has truly been a remarkable collaboration that deserves to be celebrated.
With that in mind, WCS has been working on a plan to offer closure and celebration as students across the district have an opportunity to drop off items and pick up belongings. This plan will adhere to health and safety practices in compliance with state guidelines. All schools will offer curbside service. While observing social distancing, teachers will assist and greet students as families drive through the prescribed route. Items for dropoff include Ipads and chargers, library books, textbooks, and calculators. Students are asked to label items that need to be returned to a specific teacher. Please note, WCHS will not be collecting Ipads for grades 9-12.
Items for pickup include personal belongings from school lockers or cubbies. Since families and students are to remain in the car at all times, bagged items will be placed in the back seat or trunk by the organizers. If students have projects or items that are in another location, parents are asked to contact the school to make arrangements.
