Gasoline prices in the area are up a little bit as we start a new week while average prices statewide are basically unchanged. The statewide average for a gallon of unleaded is $2.42 a gallon, which is less than half-a-cent lower than the previous week. In our area Wabash offered the lowest average price this morning at $2.40; Fort Wayne and Plymouth average $2.45; Goshen $2,47; and in Columbia City, South Bend and Warsaw most stations are asking $2.49. According to indianagasprices.com, a station in Lafayette has the lowest price in the state at $2.03, while prices along the toll road are just shy of $3 a gallon.
