Whitko Community Schools have announced their selection for interim superintendent to replace Brandon Penrod, who recently resigned.
Officials named Steve Darnell to the position. Darnell has over 35 years in education at both the local and state levels and worked within several administrative positions in schools, and has also worked with the Indiana and State of Delaware Departments of Instruction.
Darnell will perform all of the regular duties as interim superintendent while the district looks over other candidates or chooses Darnell to become the full-time superintendent on July 1st.
