Men and women competed in a hot dog eating contest Saturday at the Kosciusko County Community Fair.
During the men’s event, Joshua Dull won by eating seven hot dogs in five minutes. He received a first-place prize of $100. Jeff Abbott and Jeremiah Williams tied for second place with five hot dogs each, forcing a runoff to see who would take home the $50 second-place prize. In the additional two minutes, Abbott consumed three, while Williams ate 1-1/2. For placing third, Williams won a package of hot dogs. Also competing were Mark O’Hearn and Charles Wingard.
Eight women competed in the Lions Club’s hot dog eating contest Saturday at the Kosciusko County Community Fair. Joanne Stump won first place and the $100 prize in the women’s category by eating 4-1/2 hot dogs in five minutes. She squeezed each one of her hot dogs before consuming it.
