A Winona Lake organization is spearheading relief efforts to assist Texas residents harmed by Hurricane Harvey.
The World Compassion Network is collecting donations Friday and Saturday at the Owen’s grocery store location on Center Street from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The desired items that are most needed are:
- Non-perishable food items– canned food, ready-to-eat food and snacks.
- Hygiene and personal care items– toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, baby wipes, razors.
- First aid kits– band-aids, ointments.
- Cleaning supplies– rubber gloves, rags, sponges, scrub brushes, laundry detergent, dish-washing liquid, bleach, buckets, trash bags.
The World Compassion Network tells News Now Warsaw they are not accepting donations of clothes or bottled water.
