Police in St. Joseph are investigating after they say a woman shot herself in the eye Thursday evening. The woman died as a result of her injuries, according to our reporting partners at WNDU. It happened in the 300 block of Upton Drive around 5:10 p.m. The woman was taken to a local hospital for her injuries and later flown to a Kalamazoo hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
