ANGOLA (Network Indiana) — An elderly woman found stabbed to death at a home on Lake James in Steuben County.
Friends had been expecting Wilma Ball for planned get-together on Wednesday. She didn’t show up. Worried, they called sheriff’s deputies to go check on her at her home on the lower basin of Lake James.
They got there and found the 82-year-old woman stabbed to death. This is the first homicide in Stueben County since 2016, according to Sheriff Mike Meeks. He says they are still in the early stages of their investigation.
