It was a banner day for the Warsaw girls basketball team on Saturday.
Warsaw broke the school record for points in a game in a 105-21 win over New Haven in the semifinals, then beat Chesterton in the championship 90-29.
Brooke Zartman led the way with games of 28 and 25 while hitting 15 3-pointers. Joslyn Bricker scored 37 in the two games, Brooke Winchester added 33 to go along with 27 rebounds and Alexis Neely had a career-high 24 points in the semifinal and 12 more in the championship.
As a team, Warsaw shot 59% from the field for the day.
For the Lady Tigers, it was their 16th championship in their own holiday tournament in 46 years.
For the season, Warsaw remains undefeated and ranked third in the state.
The girls JV team also won their tournament, finishing with a 45-27 win over Chesterton in the championship.
Both teams travel to Middlebury on Jan. 11 for the massive NLC showdown with Northridge.
